Sport memorabilia being auctioned

We have some exciting items to be auctioned on Saturday. Unlike many investments, one of the joys of buying sports memorabilia is that you have something physical to enjoy.

First up in the sports section is an England rugby shirt which was recently signed by team manager Martin Johnson. We also have another England rugby shirt which has been signed by several members of the current squad.

We were thrilled to be given a signed snooker cue by Stephen Hendry (complete with a certificate of authenticity). We are expecting this to be one of the most popular items to be auctioned on Saturday.

The final item of sporting memorabilia to be auctioned, is a football signed by the current Charlton Athletic Football Team.

Once again, if you have any questions please email kerrychrislaura@yahoo.co.uk

Auction update

Many people have been asking for a sneak preview of what we will be auctioning. This seems like a good idea, so over the next couple of days we'll be updating you here so keep coming back to check.

One of the most exciting items we're auctioning is a weeks accommodation in Estepona, Spain. Estepona town is accessed from Malaga or Gibraltar airports. A car is recommended but there are good local buses.

The apartment sleeps 4. There are 2 bedrooms (1 double, 2 single beds), 2 bathrooms, English tv/dvd, balcony with sea view, communal pool, and is situated only 100 meters from the beach.
You can choose up to 7-nights stay any time before 28th February 2010.

There will be a lot more information available to view at the quiz night on the 28th. If you do want to know more before then, please email kerrychrislaura@yahoo.co.uk and we will endeavour to answer any questions.

Welcome to the blog!

We have created this blog for a number of reasons. Firstly, the Quiz & Auction night is approaching fast and we are having a lot of interest regarding the items up for auction. Over the next few days we will be finalising the auction lots (and raffle prizes) and a full list will be posted here on the blog. All the information regarding this evening will be found here, especially useful for those of you who have managed to survive without Facebook.

Secondly, but more importantly this blog will also become a source of accurate information regarding Melanoma and provide you with contact details for professional organisations who can offer advice and support to those in need of it.

It is our hope that by helping to raise awareness and funds that Melanoma will one day be confined to history.

Chris Hall and Neil Galloway will be running the Flora London Marathon on 26th April 2009 to raise money for The Myfanwy Townsend Melanoma Research Fund. Please show your support by visiting the just giving site.
